brick loft
Surrounded by the Paranur hills to the West and the Kolavai lake to the South, the apartment was conceived as a study of mass and permeability. The façade mediates between the intensity of the tropical climate and the life within, creating a layered threshold of shadow, light, and privacy. The overhanging slabs carry the brick planes and fins, creating deep recesses, filtered openings, and screened balconies that shape the monolithic form. The tactile warmth of brick grounds the architecture in permanence and belonging.
