verandah
Set amidst the lush landscape of the Western Ghats, the retreat seeks a quiet communion with nature. Stone, timber, water, and light come together in an architecture that is both grounded and open. Timber screens soften the threshold between the inside and outside, allowing the tropical surroundings to seep in. The monolith form creates a voluminous living area, the objects carefully curated to create spatial identity. The ‘Verandah’ - a space to slow down, observe, and inhabit the ways of nature.
